Let’s paint a picture using an example scenario that a player can experience within the game. While the graphics left more to be desired, Contraband Police isn’t about the graphics but rather it is the engaging and entertaining gameplay that keeps you hooked. And while there isn’t much of a sense of artistic direction present, the graphics themselves are above most other independent developers. While it makes the visuals not really exciting to look at, it does help sell the region’s mountainous vibes, enveloping you in a chilling isolation, despite the plentiful interactions with other characters within the game. There isn’t any sense of style or artistic direction, instead opting for a more visually realistic approach. When it comes to Contraband Police, the graphics aren’t anything to sing home about, and are the weakest point with the game. It is with thorough inspection and following the guidelines set before you that you are able to make sure that no contraband makes it through the border. You are tasked with ensuring the safety and protection of your home country of the Acarist People’s Republic by safeguarding the country from smugglers and gang members from entering. Sincerely tho devs, I really did enjoy the game and appreciate all the hard work you guys put into it. I started a new game and realized how much I wanted an option to skip the tutorial, was already in a bad mood over the game ending so abruptly just mere minutes ago, and when I dropped off the first 2 tutorial prisoners I ran over that "one" prisoner that's always in the way and just alt f4'd the game. Still had a lot of fun playing the game though. Just the abrupt end with no option to postpone the mission or warning that it was game over left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, and am more than willing to wait for endless mode. Answered the phone, did a thing then boom game over, no chance to go back and continue working the border, the plans I was making to upgrade and transport prisoners in my new big ass van, never got a chance to do any of it. I came here looking to see if it has been discussed yet or not, I just beat the game, unexpectedly.
